Genuine Tea Co Silver Needle White Tea Review

Genuine Tea Silver Needle White Tea

While I’ve historically been more of a coffee drinker (both at home and work), over the last year or so of working from home, I’ve started to delve a little bit more into drinking tea.  This post is hopefully the first of many of me recording and writing about the teas that I’ve tried (mainly for my own reference but maybe for yours too?). Today I’m writing an extremely quick blurb on one of the teas that I drank earlier on in the pandemic and recently revisited: the Genuine Tea Silver Needle.

Opted for a longer steep as opposed to flash steeping.  Steeped following the company’s instructions for five minutes using hot (not boiling) water.  What you ended up with was a relatively fresh and slightly floral flavour and a light golden hue to the tea. The packaging calls out flavours of honeysuckle, peach, and grape but to be completely honest with you I didn’t get any of those.  This was not a rich full-bodied white, and unfortunately will not be a re-purchase for me! Will try some other Genuine Tea products and hopefully will enjoy them more!

I should probably snap a picture of the tea leaves… but next time.
